Our New Apartment

Finally, after our long search online, never ending mailing back and forth, and endless apartment visiting to find an affordable but a clean apartment where we could call our next home has surfaced. We signed our lease, and paid our deposit. What a relief this is. Amongst everything, this is one thing I am so excited and happy about. It took us a long time, but I am satisfied with the final decision we've made. Also, we won't be far away from our old apartment, still in the same neighborhood, but with a better access to downtown and the bus stops. Now, all that's left is to pack, move and unpack. Oy.

With that crossed off our list though, I am sure I'll be able to sleep better tonight!

Marriage Certificate Proccess

Why didn't anyone tell me why it was so damn expensive and so damn difficult to arrange a local ceremony? The judge costs a tiny fortune (according to my budget), it's been difficult to search, get in contact and find an eligible, compatible, available judge. Judges, I've found out, also don't like to reply back to common people such as myself. I must admit though, I was able to, after much seeking after, found the perfect judge who is awesome. If you're in the Madison Area, look for Judge Hepfinger to officiate your wedding. He does a wonderful job, who is a lovely, lovely man. The booking, applying, process are another ordeal.

Anyhow, we've made it to here, finally and we're officially on the roster, the date is reserved, the fees are paid and those who were supposed to be made aware--official, familial and otherwise--have been notified. All that is left is the details, such as what I will be wearing, if we'll be buying a new set of rings as we've been advised by our well meaning friends, or to purchase that weekend getaway to Door County?

It seems, we'll figure the rest of our questions shortly, considering that we have no other time left and that the day of destiny is in front of our steps.

Continuing Education Department

Well, it's great to have done something, even though it has cost me all day. Finding out where I could get information, finding out Continuing Education Department, where it was, and finally getting there, waiting there, and eventually being able to speak to counselor. Although I am considered a Returning Adult Student who is eligible for special kinds of scholarships and loans (which made my day as you can guess) I still have to apply as a Transfer. I have to go through regular Undergraduate Admissions process. However, it is great to see that I can still be accepted and knowing where to begin is a great relief. Also to know that they will be much laxer with me than with a regular entering Freshman.

So, therefore, I was transferred over to the Transfer Admissions, where I shall try to get an appointment at. Let's see what that holds for me.
