Halloween Cards

I bought the most awesome Halloween Cards today at Target. They come as a pack of 8 and along side with that I bought stickers. I plan to give them out to the family I nanny for, our physicians and our property managers, along with some friends and people we use their services often.

It's a nice gesture and even more so, a wonderful way to celebrate Halloween :)

Now, to write them all!

Ramadan Eid

Happy Ramadan Eid.

It's been a difficult Ramadan for me. I am not sure how much I am actually supposed to celebrate and enjoy the good deeds of Eid when I have stopped fasting after the second half of Ramadan.

The previous year, we had a wonderful Eid with friends, and even some family, gatherings. It was wonderful to celebrate with everyone. This year, it feels so alone, without anyone. It literally felt as if we were the only people in the world. It's just us now. No one to go to, no one to come over. It really doesn't feel like an Eid. Even Eid in Rochester would have been better than this.

It's at times like these that I wish we were nearer my family, at least within driveable distance that we could have visited them to be together for important observances. Important dates, special times, crucial days where one human simply needs another.

Here's to lonely Eids

1 Year Anniversary

Today is our 1 year anniversary. A whole year since the first day we met, began talking to each other, confessed our feelings to one another, made the decision to try this out, moved in, went through Ramadan, Muharrem, birthdays, Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year's, Valentines and eventually arriving at today.

It's interesting to note the fluidity of time, where at first it stalled, stagnated and then flied out the window and a whole year found itself completed and has made us both feel warm, awed and that we've been with one another for a life time.

It feels like we've always been together and that, we've opened our eyes to the world, with one another, as if no other person existed, and there were no interferences and in this world, there is just you and me.

Never had I loved anyone so much, with all of my soul to the last drop of it, and never had I been loved so much, with all of his beliefs, passion and being.

I could never be without you, for you are my world.

St.Patrick's Day

Happy St.Patrick's Day.

It's unfortunate that the way they spend St.Patty's day in Ireland vs. the way they spend it here, but it is nonetheless one of my favorite times of the year. In general, I love March, because it means that Spring will be here shortly, the weather is warming up and that sick snow that's been getting muddier by the day, will slowly melt, much to my pleasure. It will dwindle away, and watching it dwindle away brings me great joy! Soon, the rain will begin and I could be in my element once again.

Considering my admiration of the Irish Culture and it's impressive Literature, Mythology and History, St.Patrick's day has a special place in my heart.
It's the end of the night and the time to read Táin bó Cúailnge accompanied by a tall glass of Smithwick's and Gaelic Storm.

Impossible to Severe

Forget everything and let's get ready for tomorrow. We'll have to eventually tackle this too. So let's celebrate what we have to and appreciate the bonds we've got that seems impossible to severe right now.
