The Needs of A Home

Now that we moved into a new apartment we don't have as much floor space as we used to. But on the bright side we have triple the amount of closet space, which makes a big difference to me.

It's already difficult enough to fit everything in, and the storage space here being 50 bucks a month it is incredibly expensive. Though we have this great space, we also have little floor space to be using. So I am in desperate need of organizers for our shelves, for our shoes, for the blankets, the towels. Eventually though, one by one. I've decided to buy things for first the entry way and make my way to the bathroom, then the bedroom, living room and eventually kitchen. I've already spent a lot of time and money trying to get a good kitchen going, and although there are things that I do need, none of them emergency and I can make do with what I already have. Instead, I need coat racks, boot mats, bath towels of all sizes, shelf space and organizers. I need a bench in the entryway, a mirror and photo frames.

Living room is a mess and we need lots of things there. I don't even know where to begin. We don't need a lot, but we do need a nightstand and a lot of closet organizers for the bedroom.

So here's to a never finishing the needs of a home.

These needs will probably grow bigger and become more dire in time, which will alter the list and probably will get them a little mixed.

Unwanted

As we were walking around, it seems it's time for Madison's annual time to leave your belongings outside and those who are in need of new ones, seek them as their old owners leave them. It's possibly maybe the only place in U.S. that I can ever think of people leaving their old furniture, possessions, belongings and other items to the curb and strangers willingly make good use of them. There doesn't seem to be a good bounty as of yet, though in a few days, it will be likely that there will be a great turn out, it wouldn't be bad if we ended up with a microwave, actually.

Large buildings, apartment complexes has left their goodwill donation pick up boxes for the convenience of everyone. Have I mentioned I love this city?

Despite

Despite all that, I still have hope. Hope that I can somehow make it out okay, alive, breathing and perhaps, should I dare to say, even better. Not magnificently better, but better.

At the very least, our sleeping schedule seems not as wacky and we're able to get out and do the things we're supposed to. At least I am. S is a bit preoccupied with the protests going on in Turkey immensely.

I still have much to be happy about. I am on my own, no matter how many clutches there are around me. I am with the man I love completely and adore entirely, who is a kind, understanding, humorous man who never shies away from sharing his heart, soul and life with me, with all of its puzzles, complexities and most importantly, all the beauty in it. It's different to look at life from his eyes. It's exponentially so much more brighter, so much more positive and always optimistic, entrenched in hope. He's always got more options, infinitely more than I do. He is always so much more happier for it .

I have made decisions that will effect my immediate future and coming up with a plan for future isn't exactly easy. But it's inspiring and full of confidence and potential. Maybe, this is exactly what I need and where I need to be.

Reasses

Well, we've removed Item One, Item Two is well on its way. Number three remains. We have to come to a decision about it soon. We've set the required amount of money to take care of this obstacle as well. So, I think for now, we're in good situation.

I've definitely made the decision to go back to school and even taken the first steps by meeting with advisors at UW, researched MATC catalogue and have enrolled in Journalism Certificate for the fall. I am beyond excited for that! I don't know how much I can afford in the Fall, but being registered definitely puts my mind at ease. I've registered for two UW Mini Courses as a remissions classes in the world of Fiction to warm me up for the upcoming class haul.

I am in desperate need of a job. With all of these stringing bad news, extra cash would make our life a little better to soften the blows.

Item Number Two

With that, this brings me to our number two and its many sidesteps. So in order to be under S's health care insurance, we will need to be legally married. We are now in the gathering process and I plan to do something very small, very simple, i.e. getting married at the judge's chambers and go out for drinks. Nothing special, nothing white, no flowers and nothing like that.

I am looking forward to legally and spiritually combining our lives into one. We will be a real family now. Just you and me, babe.

Item One

Signing a lease and arranging moving related issues was our number one time. While this is not solved, it is definitely on its way to be solved. Even if we don't get into Quisling, we'll move into somewhere else, and we will live somewhere. We've seen a few apartments today and will turn in applications to a few places. So eventually, we will move somewhere. Other moving arrangements are easier to solve when we actually know when we will be doing the moving. Until then, step two and threes of item one are on hold.

Since having a health insurance in U.S. is of extreme importance and considering the fact that I have several, legitimate, concerning health issues to deal with, we've come to the decision that it's best S takes me under his health insurance policy. We looked into how we can do this, is via domestic partnership, which needs far too much evidence and secondly via marriage/children born into a person. And this works out perfectly, because we decided that it was time to do our legal marriage. And since we are already engaged and will be getting married sometime, we decided to move the date up. It will be much easier this way. The wedding will be on August 2014 (and in Turkey) and although it is a long time until then, we will need to start S's paper works anyhow, so we will need to be married earlier than our wedding date. Our legal ceremony will be much earlier than planned, that's all. I am actually kind of happy about that. Also it will be much smaller.
